Exodes

“Exo” means “out of” in ancient Greek and refers to the exodus. It is a recurring theme in the work of Vanna Karamaounas, aka Iseult Labote, because it is part of her heritage: her family fled Asia Minor during the Catastrophe of Smyrna in 1922.
